Setting parental control levels

You can set parental controls for the U.S. and Canada.

The following task shows how to set controls for U.S. TV ratings. You use

similar steps for setting U.S. movie and Canadian TV ratings.

To set parental control levels:
1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.

2Press or to highlight SETTINGS, then press . The SETTINGS

menu opens with Parental Controls highlighted.
3Press ENTER. The Enter Password screen opens.

4Press the number buttons to enter the four-digit password. The

SETTINGS-Parental Controls menu opens.

5Press or to highlight USA Parental Locks, then press

ENTER. (To set Canadian ratings, select Canadian Parental

Locks.)

6Press or to highlight:

•Movie Ratings or TV Ratings for USA ratings.

•English Rating or French Rating for Canadian ratings.

7Press or to select the rating. If a rating has sub-ratings,

press or to highlight a sub-rating.

Note: When you block a rating, that rating and all

Some of the age-based TV Parental Guidelines ratings also have

content-based ratings.
