USING YOUR DYSON APPLIANCE CAUT ION:

Ensure the appliance re mains upright in use.

PLEASE NOTE:
• This appliance is desig ned for domestic ind oor and car use only. Do not us e it
whilst the car is in motion o r while driving.
• Do not use the appliance t o pick up sharp hard objec ts, small toys, pins, pa per
clips, etc. They may dam age the appliance.
• Do not press down on the noz zle with excessive f orce when using the app liance
as this may cause damage .
• If the motor overheat s, the appliance will cut o ut automatically. Le ave it to cool
for at least an hour and ch eck for blockages be fore restarting .
• Fine dirt such as flour o r plaster dust shoul d only be vacuumed in ver y
small amounts.
• Before vacuuming highl y polished floors, f irst check that the u nderside of the
floor tool and its bris tles are free from for eign objects that c ould cause marking.
• Consult your floorin g manufacturer ’s recommended ins tructions befor e
vacuuming and cari ng for your flooring, r ugs, and carpet. Th e brush
bar on the applianc e can damage certa in carpet types a nd floors. Some
carpets will fuzz i f a rotating brush ba r is used when vacuumi ng. If
this happens, we rec ommend vacuumin g without the motorh ead and
consulting with you r flooring manufac turer.
• Do not use any lubricant s, cleaning agents, po lishes or air freshen ers on any
part of the appliance o r charger.
• This appliance is fit ted with a thermal cut -out. If any part of th e appliance
becomes blocked the m achine may overhea t and automatically sh ut ‘OFF’. If
this happens, switch ‘O FF’ the appliance and a llow to cool before at tempting to
check the filter or for b lockages.
Clear any blockages be fore restarting (s ee pages 4 and 8).
• Store the appliance ind oors. Do not use or sto re this appliance below 3 °C.
Ensure that the applian ce is at room temperat ure before operatin g.

EMPTYING T HE CLEAR BIN CAUT ION:
• Switch ‘OFF’ the appli ance and disconnec t from charger before e mptying the
clear bin.
• Empty as soon as the dir t reaches the level of t he MAX mark – do n ot overfill.
• To release the dirt, push th e red button at the sid e of the clear bin as shown o n
page 5.
• To minimise dust/allergen cont act when emptyi ng, encase the clear bin t ightly
in a plastic bag and empt y. Remove the clear bin car efully and seal bag ti ghtly,
dispose as normal.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Do not use the appliance w ithout the clear bin in p lace.
CLEANING THE CL EAR BIN CAUT ION:
To remove the c lear bin, push the red but ton at the side of the cl ear bin as you
would when emptyin g the clear bin. Then pre ss the red release bu tton on the
underside of the applia nce as shown on page 4.
• Clean the clear bin with c old water only.
• Ensure the clear bin is com pletely dry befo re replacing.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Do not use detergent s, polishes or air fresh eners to clean the cle ar bin.
• Do not put the clear bin in a dis hwasher.
• Clean the shroud with a cl oth or dry brush to remo ve lint and dirt.
WASHING YOUR FILTER CAUT ION:
• Switch ‘OFF’ and disco nnect from charger b efore removing the f ilter.
• Wash the filter with cold w ater only.
PLEASE NOTE:
• This appliance has one f ilter, located as shown. I t is important to chec k
your filter and wash wit h cold water regularl y or as required to maintai n
performance. Th e filter may require mo re frequent washing if v acuuming fine
dust or if used mainly in Hi gh Constant Sucti on power mode.
• After washing plea se leave for 12 hours to dry c ompletely.
• Ensure filter is comple tely dry before re fitting to the appli ance.
• Do not use detergent s to clean the filter.
• Do not put the filter in a dis hwasher, washing machine, t umble dryer, oven,
microwave or near an open f lame.
LOOKING FOR BLOCKAG ES CAUT ION:
• Switch ‘OFF’ the appli ance and disconnec t from charger before l ooking for
blockages. Failure to do s o could result in perso nal injury.
• Beware of sharp objec ts when clearing bl ockages.
• Refit all parts of th e appliance securely b efore using.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Clearing blockages is n ot covered by the applian ce’s limited guarantee.
• If any part of the applia nce becomes blocke d, it may overheat and th en
automatically shut ‘O FF’. Make sure the appliance i s switched ‘OFF’ and
disconnect from cha rger. Clear blockage bef ore restarting.
CLEARING BRUS H BAR OBSTRUCTIONS
CAUT ION:
• Switch ‘OFF’ the appli ance and disconnec t from charger before c learing brush
bar obstructions . Failure to do so could resu lt in personal injur y. If your brush
bar is obstructed, i t may shut ’OFF’. If this happe ns you will need to remove t he
brush bar as shown and cle ar any obstructin g debris.
• Remove the brush bar by us ing a coin to unlock the fas tener marked with a
padlock. Remove the ob struction. Repl ace the brush bar and se cure it by locking
the fastener.
• Beware of sharp objec ts when clearing bl ockages.
• Refit all parts of th e appliance securely b efore using.

CHARGING AND STOR ING THE DYSONAPPLIANCE• Your appliance will turn ‘OFF ’ if the battery t emperature is below 3 °C. This
is designed to protec t the motor and batte ry of your product. D o not charge
the appliance and then m ove it to an area with a tempe rature below 3˚C for
storage purposes .
• To help prolong batter y life, avoid rechargin g immediately aft er a full discharge.
Allow to cool for a few minu tes.
• Avoid using the applianc e with the batter y flush to a surface. T his will help it run
cooler and prolong bat tery run time and li fe.

BATTERY SAFET Y INSTRUCTIONS• The appliance must be d isconnected from t he mains supply when re moving
the battery.
• Use only Dyson bat teries and charging un it for this appliance.
• The battery is a se aled unit and under nor mal circumstances p oses no safety
concerns. In the unlike ly event that liquid lea ks from the batter y do not touch the
liquid and observe th e following precauti ons:
• Skin contact – can cau se irritation. Wash wit h soap and water.
• Inhalation – can cause re spiratory irrit ation. Expose to fre sh air and seek
medical advice.
• Eye contact – can caus e irritation. Immed iately flush eyes tho roughly with water
for at least 15minutes. Se ek medical atten tion.
• Disposal – wear gloves to h andle the batter y and dispose of immed iately
following local ordina nces or regulations .
CAUTION:
The battery use d in this device may pres ent a risk of fire or chemi cal burn if
mistreated. Do not dis assemble, short c ontacts, heat abo ve 60ᵒ°C,
or incinerate. Replac e battery with a D yson batter y only, use of any other batt ery
may present a risk of fire o r explosion. Dispos e of used batter y promptly. Keep
away from children. Do not d isassemble and do not d ispose of in fire.
• The battery mus t be removed from the ap pliance before it is scr apped.
• The battery is to b e disposed of safely.
• The appliance must be d isconnected from t he supply mains when re moving
the battery.
• Battery can be ch arged on or off the app liance. Take care when remov ing the
battery.
