LA460 specifications

The EAW LA460 is a high-performance line array loudspeaker designed for professional audio applications, particularly in live sound environments. Renowned for its exceptional sound quality and versatile performance, the LA460 serves as a vital component in touring rigs, concert halls, and various event spaces.

At the heart of the LA460 are its dual 10-inch woofers, which deliver robust low-frequency output. This design enables the speaker to produce deep, powerful bass that can fill large venues without distortion. The LA460 features a patented "DMT" (Dynamic Modeling Technology) waveguide that ensures uniform coverage and consistency across the entire frequency range. This technology facilitates smooth transitions between high and low frequencies, creating a cohesive sound experience regardless of the listener’s location.

Another key feature of the LA460 is its lightweight and compact design. Weighing in at just under 90 pounds, this speaker is engineered for easy transport and rigging, making it an ideal choice for audio professionals who regularly move gear for events. The modular design allows for seamless integration with other EAW systems, further enhancing its versatility.

The LA460 incorporates advanced processing capabilities, with built-in DSP (Digital Signal Processing) that allows for precise tuning and optimization of the audio signal. This enables sound engineers to tailor the speaker output to match the specific acoustics of any venue. The unit also supports networking through EAW's proprietary software, facilitating real-time monitoring and control of the entire audio system from a single interface.

Durability and reliability are paramount in the design of the LA460. The cabinet is constructed from high-grade Birch plywood, providing both strength and a resonant-free enclosure. The weather-resistant finish allows the speaker to withstand the rigors of outdoor events, while the robust grill protects the drivers from damage.

In summary, the EAW LA460 is a sophisticated line array loudspeaker that combines high-quality audio performance, innovative technology, and rugged design. With complementary features like DMT waveguides, modular construction, built-in DSP, and excellent durability, it stands out as an essential solution for audio professionals seeking to deliver outstanding sound in any setting. Its ability to provide consistent audio coverage makes it a popular choice for both touring and installed sound applications.
