Engine Break-In
New engines must be operated a minimum duration of two tanks of fuel
High Altitude Operation
This engine has been factory adjusted to maintain satisfactory starting, emission, and durability performance up to 1,100 feet above sea level (ASL) (96.0 kPa). To maintain proper engine operation and emission compliance above 1,100 feet ASL the carburetor may need to be ad- justed by an authorized ECHO service dealer.
Important
If the engine is adjusted for operation above 1,100 feet ASL, the carburetor must be
Level 2.
Tools required: Screwdriver, Tachometer (ECHO P/N 99051130017)
Parts required: None
NOTE
Every unit is run at the factory and the carburetor is set in compli- ance with emission regulations. Carburetor adjustments, other than idle speed, must be performed by an authorized ECHO dealer.
1.Check idle speed and reset if necessary. If a tachometer is avail- able, idle speed screw (A) should be set to the specifications found on page 24 "Specifications" of this manual. Turn idle screw (A) clockwise to increase idle speed; counter clockwise to decrease idle speed.

When carburetor adjustment is completed, the cutting attachment should not turn at idle, otherwise serious personal injury may result.
