•Do not use the appliance if it is dropped or otherwise damaged or if the cord or plug are damaged. In the case of damage, take the appliance to an electrical repair shop for examination and repair if necessary.
•Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause an electric shock.
•Do not allow the cord to hang over sharp edges and keep it well away from hot objects and naked flames. Remove the plug from the socket only by holding the plug.
•For extra protection it is possible to fit the electric household installation with a fault current breaker with a rated breaking current of not more than 30mA. Ask your electrician for advice.
•Make sure that there is no danger that the cord or extension cord may inadvertently be pulled or cause anyone to trip when in use.
•If an extension cord is used it must be suited to the power consumption of the appliance, otherwise overheating of the extension cord and/or plug may occur.
•This appliance is not suitable for commercial use nor for use in the open air.
•Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in use.
•Children cannot recognise the dangers involved in the incorrect use of electrical appliances. Therefore never allow children to use household appliances without supervision.
•Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and each time before it is cleaned.
•Danger! Nominal voltage is still present in the appliance as long as the appliance is connected to the mains socket.
•Switch the appliance off before disconnecting from the mains.
•Never use the cord to carry the appliance.
SPECIAL SAFETY ADVICE
•Caution, danger of burns! The appliance will become very hot during usage. Do not touch the two temperature controls during the usage of the appliance.
•After using the appliance, let it cool completely in a safe area – inaccessible to children – prior to storing it.
PRIOR TO FIRST USE
•Remove all packaging materials.
•Clean the appliance as described in Maintenance and Care.
•During the first use, slight smell or smoke might emerge from the appliance. This is normal and will last only a short time. Ensure proper ventilation.
OPERATION
•The On/Off switch (8) must be in the OFF position and both temperature regulators (2, 6) must be on position MIN.
•Connect the power plug (7) to a corresponding outlet.
•Set the On/Off switch (8) to the ON position.
•Set the pot with/without contents on the appropriate heating plate (1, 4) according to the size of the pot. Heating plate A (1) has a capacity of 1500 watt and heating plate B (4) has a capacity of 1000 watt.
•Select the desired temperature with the corresponding temperature regulator (2, 6). The corresponding control light (3 or 5) will light up. As soon as the set temperature is reached, the control light will fade. If the heating plate has cooled down too much, the control light will light up again.
•After the cooking process, turn the heating plates off by setting the corresponding temperature regulators (2, 6) to position MIN. The control lights (3, 5) will fade.
•After turning off, the heating plates will still give off heat for a certain amount of time.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE
•Read the safety advice first.
•Make sure that the appliance has been unplugged. Let the hot plates cool for a least 30 minutes.
•Clean the appliance with a soft, moistened cloth. If required, use a mild cleaning agent.
•Never use abrasive cleaning agents or hard utensils.
•Wipe the hot plates with a moistened cloth.
