HOW TO INSERT BATTERIES

HOW TO INSERT BATTERIES

The battery compartment is located on the back of the device.

Open the battery compartment (as indicated on the back of the device).

Insert 4 x size C batteries as shown inside the compartment (batteries are not included).

Pay attention to the battery polarity.

Attention!!! Incorrectly inserted batteries may damage the device.

Note:

Observe carefully the PRECAUTIONS FOR BATTERY USE and USING THE DEVICE poles of the batteries.

If the batteries are not installed correctly the set will not work.

If the sound becomes weak and unclear, the batteries may be exhausted.

Replace all four batteries at the same time.

Remove the batteries if the unit is not to be used for a longer period of time

(a few weeks or more) to prevent battery leakage and possible damage to the unit.

PRECAUTIONS FOR BATTERY USE

Do not mix old and new batteries.

Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (Nickel-Cadmium) batteries.

Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.

Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged (if removable).

Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision (if removable).

Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.

Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.

Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.

The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

USING THE DEVICE

Open the cassette door by pressing the eject button.

Insert a cassette with the side to be played facing right.

Close the cassette door.

Set the desired volume with the volume knob.

The following functions can be activated:

EJECT button:

Ejects the cassette.

STOP button:

Stops the playback.

FAST FORWARD button: Fast forward search.

PLAY button:

Plays the cassette.

While a cassette is playing, slide the switch on the microphone to ON position. Now you can sing along while the music is playing. Your voice and the music are playing simultaneously through the loudspeakers.

Once the cassette is finished, press the STOP button. The player will stop and the device is switched off.

Note:

If the PLAY button does not latch when pressed, check to be sure the cassette is not at the end of the tape.

Pressing STOP stops playback of the cassette.

Warning! Not suitable for children under 3 years. Beware of small pieces and batteries; do not swallow. It may be hazardous to your health. Keep small parts and batteries out of the reach of children.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the device only with a moist cloth.

Do not use abrasive detergents.

If the device is not used for a longer periods remove the batteries from the battery compartment to avoid battery leakage.

To maintain your cassette player in high performance, head, capstan and pinch roller should be cleaned periodically. They pick up dirt and residue from cassette tapes during normal operation. Cleaning after approximately every 10 hours of operation will minimize this problem.

1.Remove batteries.

2.Open cassette door.

3.Remove dust on head, capstan and pinch roller with a cotton swab dampened with alcohol.

4.Replace batteries and battery compartment door.

Cleaning cassettes are commercially available (not included). These are inserted like a common cassette. The PLAY button is depressed and the tape will play through its cycle. The heads should still be inspected as described above to see that they have been properly cleaned.

IF YOU WANT TO USE AC HOME SUPPLY, UNSTEAD OF THE ABTTERIES, YOU MUST HAVE AN ADAPTOR (NOT INCLUDED) THAT CAN SUPPLY 6 VOLT DIRECT CURRENT WITH A CURRENT OF 300m A AND COMPLIES WITH CEE PUBLICATION 15.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO CHECK REGULARLY FOR DAMAGE TO THE CORD, CABLE, PLUG ENCLOSURE OR OTHER PARTS OF THE ADAPTOR TO PREVENT FROM POTENTIAL HAZARDS.

ALWAYS CONNECT THE ADAPTOR TO THE CASSETTE PLAYER FIRST AND THEN TO THE AC HOME SUPPLY. MAKE SURE THE POLARITIES OF THE ADAPTOR OUTPUT PIN DOES CORRESPOND TO THE CASSETTE PLAYER

Caution: When using an adaptor, an adult should connect the transformer. If in doubt, consult to your dealer or qualified service personnel.

CAUTION: NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 3 YEARS DUE TO SMALL PARTS.

TRANFORMER TOYS:

The toy is not intended for children under 3 years. Use the toy only with the recommended transformer. The transformer is not a toy.

Toys liable to be cleaned with liquids are to be disconnected from the transformer before cleaning.
