Battery Operation

The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the cabinet. Turn the unit upside down and place the unit on a soft surface such as a bed, a towel, or on the carpet, to avoid scratching the finish on the cabinet.

1.) Press down on the two “Arrow” marks on the battery compartment cover and slide the cover in the direction of the arrows, as shown, to remove the cover.

2.) Insert 8 “C” (UM-2) batteries, not included, in the battery compartment. We recommend that you use a well-known brand of alkaline batteries for longest life and best performance. Be sure that the batteries are positioned according to the polarity markings engraved in the battery compartment. If the batteries are inserted incorrectly the unit will not work.

3.) Replace the battery compartment cover.
