OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Important Information:

This system can only be operated with the lid in the open position. If you close the lid while the radio or a CD is playing the power shuts ‘Off’automatically.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO

1.) Press the OPEN button and raise the lid.

2.) Press the POWER button to turn the system ‘On’.

3.) Press the TUNER button to select the radio function.

4.) Press either the AM of FM button to select the desired band.

5.) If you select the FM band pull the FM antenna out from the right side of the cabinet, extend it to its full length and position it vertically.

6.) Rotate the TUNING control to select the desired station. If you tune to an FM Stereo station the FM ST. indicator will light.

7.) Press the VOL. UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the volume.

Important! Speaker Protection Circuit

To prevent damage to the two ultra thin speakers mounted in the lid, the VOLUME control will automatically return to a low 'default' setting each time the power is switched 'Off'. Adjust the volume to a comfortable listening level each time you switch the power 'On'.

8.) When you are finished listening press the POWER

button to shut the system

‘Off’’. Closing the lid will also shut ‘Off’the power.
