This section tells you how to set up your pr in te r s o that other
computers on a network can use it.
First, you need to set up the printer a s a sh ared printer on the
computer to which the printer is conn ected. Then, you must
signify the network path to the printer from each computer to use
the printer, and install the printer software on those computers.
Note:
This section describes how to use your printer as a shared printer on a
network. To connect your printer directly t o a net wo rk w it ho ut s ett ing
it up as a shared printer, consult your network administrator.

Setting up your printer as a shared printer

Follow these steps to share a printer connected directly to your
computer with other computers on a network:
1. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Network.
