Remote Connector Pin Configuration

As shown at right,
Pin 1 is reference voltage.
Pin 2 is volume control with DC voltage.
Pin 3 is ground.
N All nominal levels are at ±10%.
For proper volume control, use all three pins when
connecting the device (see diagram).
The Extron VC 50 is a remote volume controller designed to work with the Extron PoleVault™
switcher (PVS 204SA with amp), the MLP (Mic to Line Pre-amplifier), and the MPA series
audio amplifiers (e.g. MPA 122).
Mounted into standard one-gang wall box or mud ring, the VC 50 has a rotary volume control
knob, which provides easy adjustment and ensures precise volume levels.
Captive screw connectors on the back panel provide quick and easy connectivity.

Audio Level Setting Procedure

To set the system level not to exceed the maximum volume when
using the VC 50, do the following:
1. Reduce the power amplifier volume to minimum.
2. Turn the Volume knob on the VC 50 to the maximum position.
3. Slowly turn up the power amplifier volume to the maximum
undistorted sound level allowed for the application.
