4. LINE OUT - This jack provides a signal output suitable

for connection to recording and sound reinforcement

equipment. Using a 3-conductor stereo cord will pro-

vide a quasi-balanced signal and a 2-conductor mono

cord will provide an unbalanced signal.

5. SEND - Connect cord to external equipment at this

output jack. This unbalanced jack provides a pre-

reverb signal output from the preamp and may be used

to drive effects units in an effects loop, to drive addi-

tional amplifiers in a multi-amp set up or as a preamp

send to a mixing console.

6. LEVEL SWITCH - This switch directly effects the SEND

jack (item 5) by boosting or attenuating the signal sent

to the effects. External rack effects usually require

–7dB or +4dB settings. Effects pedals usually require

1.LINE CORD - Connect the power line cord to a grounded AC receptacle in accordance with the volt- age and frequency ratings as listed on the rear panel of the amplifier.

2.8 OHM SPEAKER JACK (Combo & Head models) - Plug-in connection for external 8 ohm speakers only.

3.4-OHM ADDITIONAL SPEAKER JACK (Head model only) - Plug-in connection for a external 4 ohm speaker or a second 8 Ohm speaker enclosure. The combined minimum impedance for all speaker enclosures should be 4 ohms (i.e. two 8 ohm enclosures in parallel).

a –16dB setting.

7. RETURN - Connect cord from external effects devices

at this input jack. Inserting a plug at this jack auto-

matically disconnects the unit’s internal connection

from the pre-amp to the power amp. This jack is pre-

reverb and can also be used as a power amp input.

Plugging into this jack activates the EFFECTS MIX

control on the front panel.

TUBE REPLACEMENT: Roc Pro amplifiers utilize one Fender Special Design 12AX7A vacuum tube. It’s a good idea to keep a spare tube with the amplifier in case the tube in the Roc Pro should fail and as a test for tube wear. Loss of sound quality due to the tube reaching the end of its life is very gradual and may not be noticed. Replacing the old tube with your spare and listening for improvement will tell if the old tube is worn and whether you should replace it and buy a new spare! Replace only with the identical tube type.

The Fender 1000 is a remarkable pedal steel guitar that has made a significant mark in the world of country, rock, and blues music. Introduced in the 1970s, it quickly gained popularity among professional musicians for its unique sound and versatility.

At the heart of the Fender 1000 is its innovative design, featuring a double-neck configuration that allows players to access a wide range of notes and tonal possibilities. The instrument typically comes with a 10-string setup on each neck, making it ideal for intricate solos and complex chord progressions. The tuning options are extensive, offering players the ability to customize their sound based on their musical style.

One of the standout features of the Fender 1000 is its all-pull mechanism. This system offers smooth pedal action, allowing for precise control over pitch bends and chord changes. This makes it easier for players to achieve expressive performances, as they can manipulate the strings with minimal resistance. Additionally, the all-pull system contributes to the guitar’s tuning stability, ensuring that musicians can rely on their instrument during live performances and studio sessions.

The body of the Fender 1000 is constructed from high-quality materials, typically featuring a solid wood core that enhances resonance and tone. The finish options are varied, adding to the instrument's aesthetic appeal. The chrome hardware, including pedals and knee levers, not only provides durability but also adds a touch of elegance to the overall design.

Furthermore, the Fender 1000 incorporates advanced pickup technology, usually utilizing single-coil pickups that deliver a rich, full sound with clarity and sustain. This characteristic sound is a signature of Fender instruments, making the 1000 a favorite among discerning musicians who seek a classic tone with modern playability.

With its combination of innovative engineering, superior craftsmanship, and distinctive sound, the Fender 1000 has established itself as a staple in the pedal steel guitar world. Musicians appreciate its ability to adapt to various genres, whether it’s smooth country licks or electrifying rock riffs. For anyone interested in exploring the enchanting world of pedal steel guitars, the Fender 1000 remains a compelling choice, embodying the spirit and tradition of this unique instrument style.
