57 specifications

The Fender 57 reissue is a tribute to one of the most iconic electric guitars ever produced, the Fender Stratocaster. This particular model captures the essence of the original 1957 Strat, widely recognized for its distinctive sound, versatile playability, and timeless design.

One of the hallmark features of the Fender 57 is its traditional alder body, which not only provides a solid foundation but also contributes to the guitar's overall tonal characteristics. The lightweight design ensures comfort during extended playing sessions, catering to musicians who value both style and substance. The instrument typically comes equipped with a glossy finish, enhancing its aesthetic appeal while allowing the natural wood grain to shine through.

The neck of the Fender 57 stands out with its comfortable C-shaped profile, allowing for easy playing and quick access across the fretboard. Made from maple or rosewood, the fingerboard features a vintage radius that provides a classic feel, making it ideal for those who appreciate the traditional strat setup. The fret size is typically smaller, reminiscent of the original 57 models, which can enhance the playability for some guitarists.

One of the defining features of the Fender 57 is its trio of single-coil pickups, known for their bright, clear tones and dynamic response. These pickups offer a wide range of sonic possibilities, making it suitable for various musical genres, from rock and blues to jazz and surf. The five-way selector switch allows players to transition seamlessly between different pickup configurations, providing access to a variety of tonal flavors.

In terms of technology, the Fender 57 employs vintage-style hardware, including a synchronized tremolo system. This classic feature not only enhances the guitar's aesthetic but also allows for subtle pitch modulation, lending itself well to creative expression. The tuning machines are also designed in a vintage style, offering stability and easy adjustment while maintaining the guitar's timeless look.

Overall, the Fender 57 is a perfect blend of vintage inspiration and modern craftsmanship. It continues to be popular among guitarists who seek authenticity, sound quality, and the historical significance associated with one of the most cherished guitars in music history. Whether you're a seasoned performer or an aspiring musician, the Fender 57 stands as a testament to Fender's commitment to excellence in guitar-making.
