Using Single-sheet Paper

Before you load single-sheet paper, you must prepare the printer by installing the paper guide in an upright position. If the tractor unit is installed, remove it by following the instructions above. After following those instructions, you can skip the following section on paper guide installation, except for step 3 on aligning the left edge guide.

Installing the paper guide

Install the paper guide as follows:

1.If you have not already done so, install the edge guides on the paper guide by hooking the tab on the back of each guide over the top of the paper guide, as shown on page l-15. Snap the bottom of each edge guide into place.

2.Hold the paper guide upright and insert the legs of the guide into the slots on either side of the printer, as shown below.
