down to take the picture.

RIf the subject is poorly lit, the flash may fire when the pic- ture is taken. For information on using the flash when lighting is poor, see “N Using the Flash (Super-Intelligent Flash)” (P37).

The Shutter Button

The shutter button has two positions. Pressing the shutter button halfway sets focus and exposure; to shoot, press the shutter button the rest of the way down.
