How to use the [SET-UP] menu (p.121)

[DUAL IS MODE]

Use this function to select the Dual IS mode.

[ CONTINUOUS]:

[DUAL IS MODE] is always set to ON in Shooting mode.[ SHOOTING ONLY]:[DUAL IS MODE] is set to ON when pressing the shutter button down halfway.

[CCD-RAW]

Setting [CCD-RAW] to [ON] disables the signal processing functions (reconstituting the data received from the CCD as an image) performed on the camera. Consequently, this task must be performed on the PC. Use the bundled FinePixViewer software to perform the processing on a PC. Conversion using FinePixViewer also provides a simple way to create TIFF-format images. (Convertible file type will differ depending on your PC. For details, refer to the help of FinePixViewer.)

CAUTION

The functions listed below cannot be used in CCD-RAW mode.-During shootingRed eye correction, Digital zoom and Quality unavailable.-During playback

Playback can be zoomed up to 2.5×, but cropped images cannot be saved and red eye effect cannot be corrected.

CHECK

To rebuild images, FinePixViewer (on the bundled CD- ROM “Software for FinePix”) must be installed on your PC.

[FOCUS CHECK]

Use this function when it is difficult to see whether the image is focused.

Set [FOCUS CHECK] to [ON]. The center of the image can be zoomed in by turning the focus ring, and focusing can be more easily achieved in this portion of the screen. Take the picture, press the shutter button down halfway or leave the camera for a while to return to normal display.

CAUTION

The Focus check function can be used in the MF mode (p.71).

When using the Focus check function, set [ EVF/ LCD MODE] (p.122) to [30fps] in the [SET-UP] menu.

The Focus check function cannot be used when [ HIGH-SPEED SHOOTING] (p.99) is set to [ON].
