Basic Setup

A language-selection dialog is displayed the first time the camera is turned on. Set up the camera as described below (for information on resetting the clock or changing languages, see page 96).

2.2Press MENU/OK. A battery type message will be displayed; if the type differs from the type inserted in the camera, use the setup menu TBATTERY TYPE option (pg. 97) to specify the correct type.

2Tip: The Camera Clock

If the batteries are removed for an extended period, the camera clock and battery type will be reset and the language -selection dialog will be displayed when the camera is turned on. If the batteries are left in the camera for about 10 hours, the battery can be removed for about 24 hours without resetting the clock, language, or battery type.
