■Precautions
The following documents sometimes cannot be scanned
successfully on the ADF.
To prevent unexpected trouble, a feed test using a spare document
may be needed.
•Paper-clipped or stapled documents
•Ink documents that are still wet
•Documents (e.g. envelopes) of uneven thickness
•Wrinkled or curled documents (See HINT on page 126.)
•Folded or torn documents
•Tracing paper
•Coated paper
•Carbon paper
•Carbonless paper
•Documents smaller than A8 (Portrait) in size
•Documents wider than Letter size (216mm) or longer than
Legal size
•Cloth, metal foil, OHP film and other non-paper documents
•Photosensitive paper
•Perforated or punched documents
•Documents that are not square or rectangular
•Very thin documents
