Flushing the pump:

Cleaning the suction

base and feed impeller:

The pump remains in constant operation because the float switch
is bypassed.
1. Push the float switch 5onto the float switch lock 3with the
cable downward.
2. Stand the pump on a firm surface
– or –
use a rope attached through the bore hole in the carrying
handle 2to immerse the pump in a well or shaft.
3. Plug the power cable 1into a mains socket.
The residual water height is only reached during manual opera-
tion since the float switch turns off the pump during automatic
operation before this water level is reached.

5. Cleaning

The pumps are virtually maintenance-free.
After having pumped chlorinated swimming pool water or other liq-
uids leaving residues, the pump should be rinsed with clear water.
Warning! Electric shock!
ARisk of injury due to electric shock.
VDisconnect the pump from the mains before clean-
ing the suction base and feed impeller.
1. Unscrew the 6 Phillips screws 8(model 6500 SP: 4 Phillips
screws)and pull the suction base 6off the pump.
2. Clean the suction base 6and the feed impeller 9.
3. Reinstall the suction base 6and screw in the Phillips screws 8.
For safety reasons a damaged feed impeller 9can only be
exchanged by the GARDENASer vice Centre.

6.Trouble-Shooting

Problem Probable cause Remedy
Pump is running, Air cannot escape, since vOpen pressure line
but doesn’t deliver. pressure line is closed. (e.g.kinked pressure pipe).
Air locks in the suction base. vWait for max. 3 minutes
until the pump deaerates
automatically over the vent
valve.If necessary, switch
off and start it again.
Feed impeller clogged. vDisconnect plug and clean
feed impeller (see 5.Clean-
