NOTE: The Glidepath Indicator is only shown for aircraft with GIA 63W Integrated Avionics Units when
SBAS is available.
TheVerticalDeviation Indicator(VDI)is amagenta chevronindicating thebaro-VNV verticaldeviation
whenVerticalNavigation(VNV) isbeing used.The VDIappears inconjunctionwith the“TOD within1
minute”alert. TheVDI isremovedfrom thedisplay ifverticaldeviation becomesinvalid. See theFlight
ManagementSectionfordetailsonVNVfeatures,andrefertoSection2.2,SupplementalFlightData,formore
informationaboutVNVindicationsonthePFD.
The GlideslopeIndicator appearstothe leftof theAltimeterwhenever anILS frequencyistuned inthe
activeNAVeldandtheaircraftheadingandselected coursearewithin107˚.Agreen diamondactsasthe
GlideslopeIndicator,likeaglideslope needleonaconventional indicator.Ifalocalizer frequencyistuned
andthereisnoglideslope,“NOGS”isdisplayedinplaceofthediamond.
TheglidepathisanalogoustotheglideslopeforGPSapproachessupportingSBASverticalguidance(LNAV+V,
L/VNAV,LPV).WhenanapproachofthistypeisloadedintotheightplanandGPSistheselectednavigation
source, the Glidepath Indicator appears as a magenta diamond during the approach. If the approach type
downgradespastthenalapproachx(FAF),“NOGP”isdisplayedinplaceofthediamond.
Full-scale deflection of two dots is 1000 feet.
