To install the batteries:
1 Slide open the battery cover.
2 Insert the two AA batteries into your camcorder. Make sure that you match the + and – on the batteries with the + and – symbols inside the battery compartment.
3 Close the battery cover.
Warning To protect your camcorder from battery leakage or corrosion, remove the batteries if you will not be using your camcorder for an extended period of time.
