Installation Instructions for
Wired Chime
Power Requirement: 16VAC @ 180mA maximum
Included hardware:
(1) Chime
(4) Plastic screw anchors
(4) 4x25mm screws (for anchors)
Required Tools:
Wire stripper/cutter, small flat blade screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, drill, and drill bit (5/32”)
Removing Front Cover
The following instructions explain how to remove the front cover of the wired chime.
1.With the cover face down hold the front cover while sliding the back plate to the left.
2.Using your finger gently pry up on the back cover plate. The back plate with the paper product label should come away easily.
Chime Tune Setting
The following instructions explain how to change the tune on the wired chime.
1.Remove the chime cover and locate the two 3 position dip switches shown below.

2.Select the desired chime sound from the table below.

WARNING: Do not exceed 16VAC input to the chime.
Installation
1.Remove the cover from the old door chime, disconnect the transformer and pushbutton wires (label them for
reference). Remove the old chime.
2. Install new chime
a. Remove the front cover from the chime.
b. Pull the pushbutton and transformer wires through the slot in the base of chime. c. Mark the 4 holes using the base as a template with the arrow pointing up.
d. If using the screw anchors, drill 4 - 5/32”holes and insert the plastic screw anchors. Otherwise drill a 3/64” pilot hole for the screws.
e. Mount the chime base using the 4x25mm screws.
f. Attach the two wires from each pushbutton as shown in the wiring diagram. For each push button, one wire should be connected to the “Common” screw and one wire should be connected to the “Front” or “Rear” screw.
g. Attach the wires from the chime transformer to the “transformer connections” as shown in the wiring diagram. (There is no polarity requirement).
h. Slide the front cover on the back plate of the chime.
