Using Your Iron

To Dry Iron

1.Plug power base into outlet.

2.Set the Adjustable Steam Switch to O (the Dry

Iron position).

3.Turn Temperature Control Dial to desired temperature. Allow three minutes for iron to reach desired

temperature.

4.To turn iron Off, turn Temperature Control Dial to Off and unplug power base.

To Steam Iron

NOTE: Do not attempt to fill iron while in power base.

1.Remove iron from power base. Using

6.To turn iron off, set Adjustable Steam Switch to O (Dry Iron). Turn the Temperature Control Dial to Off and unplug iron from base.

7.Empty water from the iron following directions in “Caring for Your Iron.”

NOTES

When first steaming from an empty iron, up to 20 seconds may be needed before the iron begins to steam.

For best results, always return the iron to the power base when not in use, even if only for a few seconds.

Water

For best steam performance, use ordi- nary tap water. If you have extremely hard water, alternate between tap water and distilled water for use in the iron.
