Filling the fuel tank

Note. It is normal for smoke to be emitted from a new engine during and after first use.
1.Place the blower upright on the ground or on a sturdy bench and wipe any debris from around the fuel cap (7).
2.Unscrew the fuel cap (7) and pour the mixture into the tank using a funnel (not supplied).
3.Be careful not to spill any mixture. If this happens, wipe the spill with a clean rag.
4.Start the engine at least three metres away from the area where the fuel tank has been filled up in order to avoid any risk of fire.
•Danger of fire and burn injuries.
•Always use extreme care when handling fuel! Fuel is highly flammable.
•Never attempt to fuel the blower if the fuel system components are damaged or are leaking.
•Never attempt the refuel the engine while it is running or still warm, allow it to cool before fuelling.
•Never smoke or light any fires near the blower or fuels.
•Always transport and store fuels in an approved container.
•Never place flammable material close the engine muffler.
•Do not use petrol which contains ethanol or methanol as it may damage the fuel lines and other engine parts.
•Mix only enough fuel for your immediate needs. If fuel must be stored longer than 30 days, it should first be treated with a stabilizer or similar product.
Fitting the safety straps (shoulder and waist)
IMPORTANT. Safety straps must be completely adjusted before initially starting the blower.
IMPORTANT. Ensure the straps are always used to support the blower during use.
The blower must be used with the shoulder straps (13) and waist strap (18) provided.
Note. Adjust the straps first with the device in the off position.
1.Place the shoulder straps on your shoulders and fasten the waist strap by pushing the buckles together.
2.Set the belt lengths tight for greater safety and comfort during use.
Operation
IMPORTANT. Do not allow the machine to operate continuously for a long time. Keep it switched off for 20 minutes for every 30 minutes of operation. Total operation time in a day should be less than two hours.
Starting the blower
To start the engine, proceed as follows:
For cold starting:
1.Manually press the primer (9)
5 to 6 times or until there are no air bubbles visible in the fuel discharge line. This will indicate that the carburettor is full
2.Close the air filter damper (16).
