5.Securing the Car Bed in Your Vehicle
There are many kinds of vehicles, seat belts, and occupant protection systems. As a result, it is not possible for this manual to tell you everything you need to know about putting this car bed in your vehicle. You must carefully follow the instruc- tions provided by your vehicle manufacturer, as well as the information in this manual. Before proceeding, be sure you have read and understood section 2.4 (page 13) about safe and unsafe seat belt systems.
Failure to properly secure the car bed within the vehicle increases the child’s risk of serious injury or death in the event of a sharp turn, sudden stop or crash.
Carefully follow these instructions and those in your vehicle owner’s manual to be sure your car bed is properly located, positioned, and held tightly at all times.
