1.Loosen the motor mount bolts located inside the dust chute and slide the motor up until you can attach the V-Belt to the pulleys. See

2.Allow the weight of the motor to rest against the V-Belt and lightly tighten one motor mount bolt. For the time being, this will be adequate belt tension.

3.Align the motor and cutterhead pulleys with each other using a plumb bob or straight- edge. Move the motor until the face of the motor pulley is aligned with the cutterhead pulley and tighten the motor mount bolts. Pulley alignment can be fine tuned by loos- ening the motor pulley setscrews and mov- ing the pulley in or out as necessary. See

Figure 9.

4.Check belt tension by pinching the belt halfway between the pulleys with moderate pressure. The amount of flex between the pinched portions of the belt should be approximately 1". Loosen the motor mount bolts slightly and adjust the motor down to increase belt tension. Tighten motor mount bolts and recheck tension and pulley align- ment.

Fence

Place the fence body on the fence support, mak- ing sure that it fits over the key. See Figure 10. Insert the locking screw and thread on the special nut provided. The flange on the special nut should protrude upward when installed correctly.
