7.Adjust the fluid control knob to start with a low volume of material and keep the atomization as low as possible. You will need to use a combination of fluid control, inlet air pressure, air flow con- trol (on the Model H7667), and stroke speed to achieve the results you want. Spray so the material wets out nicely without running or sagging.

8.Use the pattern control knob to adjust the spray fan to your desired pattern.

9.Keep the gun tip perpendicular, parallel and 6-8" from the work at all times when spraying as shown in Figure 5. Do not allow your wrist to bend. This will cause the gun to arc across the surface and distribute the material unevenly, pos- sibly creating sags and dry spots.

10.Begin spraying 2-3 inches before the work and continue to the end of the work. Continue the motion for a few inches past the work until you are ready for the return stroke.

11.Maintain an even speed when spray- ing.

12.Overlap each stroke by 50%. This will ensure even coverage as shown in Figure 6. Overlapping less than 50%, as shown in the figure to the right, may lead to missed spots or streaky results.

NOTICE

Tipping spray gun may cause material to spill out of the cup. Always hold the spray gun perpendicular to the ground to avoid potential spills and gravity feed problems.

H7667, H7666 specifications

Grizzly's H7666 and H7667 wood lathes are designed to cater to both hobbyists and professional woodworkers looking for reliable, high-performance machinery. These models are known for their robust construction and user-friendly features, making them excellent choices for turning projects ranging from delicate spindles to large bowls.

The H7666 lathe boasts a powerful 1 HP motor, offering ample torque for various woodturning tasks. The variable speed control is a standout feature, allowing users to adjust the speed from 600 to 3600 RPM, catering to both rough turning and finishing. Its generous 16-inch swing over the bed enables the turning of larger projects, while a 42-inch bed length provides ample working space for intricate designs.

The H7667 model takes it a step up with a more powerful 2 HP motor, delivering increased torque for demanding projects. This lathe also features variable speed capabilities, but it ranges from 50 to 3500 RPM, giving woodworkers the flexibility they need for different types of wood and turning techniques. This wider speed range allows for greater versatility, facilitating tasks from initial shaping to detailed finishing touches.

Both models come equipped with a durable steel frame that minimizes vibrations during operation, ensuring smooth and precise cuts. The easy-to-use tool rest adjusts quickly and securely, providing support and stability for the user's tools. The tailstock's rotating center helps facilitate drilling and hollowing, enabling greater versatility in project design.

Moreover, the H7666 and H7667 lathes have a built-in spindle lock feature, which simplifies changing accessories and maintaining the machine. Their dust collection ports are compatible with standard systems, helping to maintain a clean workspace while reducing airborne dust.

Additionally, the easy-to-read digital readout enhances precision, allowing woodworkers to make accurate adjustments while turning. Both models are engineered to provide a consistent and user-friendly experience, whether you are a seasoned professional or a passionate beginner. With their combination of power, precision, and versatility, Grizzly's H7666 and H7667 lathes are well-equipped to handle a wide range of woodturning projects.
