INSTALLING BATTERIES
1.Unscrew the battery cover locking screw (Figure 1).
2.Remove the battery cover and install three AAA batteries. Make sure that the batteries are inserted in the correct position (Figure 2).
BATTERY TIP
To avoid damage from battery leakage and corrosion,
1.Remove the batteries when you do not use the unit for a long time.
2.Never reuse batteries. Always install fresh batteries.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO
1.Extend the telescopic antenna by pulling gently upward.
2.Turn the radio on by rotating the ON/OFF, VOLUME control knob. Use this same knob to adjust the volume.
3.Select the desired band using the BAND SELECTOR switch on the front of the radio:
•Weather: 162.475, 162.55, 164.40
•AM
•FM
4.Using the TUNING knob, tune the radio to the desired frequency.
