W wyniku krążenia kuli ziemskiej czas – w odniesieniu do danej lokalizacji – jest wcześnie- jszy w kierunku zachodnim i późniejszy w kierunku wschodnim. Z tego powodu kula ziemska została podzielona na 24 strefy czasowe. System ten opiera się na strefie czasu uni- wersalnego o nazwie UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), nazywanej wcześniej GMT (Greenwich Meantime). Stacje radiowe na falach krótkich zawsze podają czas uniwersalny UTC. Przed nastawieniem czasu zegara upewnij się, w jakiej strefie czasowej się znajdujesz.

Ustawianie czasu lokalnego

Podczas pierwszego uruchamiania urządzenia lub gdy urządzenie było przez dłuższy okres odłączone od sieci zasilania, na wyświetlaczu pojawia się napis »HOME« i »- : --«; oznacze- nie strefy czasowej, np. »5«, pulsuje, sygnalizując, że należy nastawić czas zegara.

1Ustawić odpowiednią strefę czasową regulatorem z przodu urządzenia.

2Nacisnąć przycisk »H.T.Z« (przód urządzenia).

– Na wyświetlaczu: pulsują napisy np. »AM« i »12:00«.

3Ustawić godzinę przyciskiem »HR.«, minuty przyciskiem »MIN.«.

4Potwierdzić ustawienie przyciskiem »TIME SET«.

– Na wyświetlaczu: wyświetlany jest aktualny czas lokalny.

5Przyciskiem »12/24« przełączyć między wskaźnikiem czasu w formacie 12-god- zinnym lub 24-godzinnym.

6W razie potrzeby ustawić czas letni (patrz strona 138).
