The applian ce must be connect ed to a 220-240 volt s 50 cycle AC supp ly by means of a thr ee pin
socket, suitably earthed an d should be protected by a 13 amp fuse in the plug.
The appliance is supplie d with a moulded 13 amp 3 pin mains plug fit ted with a 13 amp fuse. Should
the fuse require replacement, it must be replaced with a fuse rated at 13 amp and approved to BS1362.
The plug contains a removable fuse cover th at must be refitted when the fuse is replaced. I nt he event
of the fuse cover being lost or dama ged, the plug must not be used until a replacement cover has been
obtained.
If the moulded mains plug is unsuitable for the socket outlet in your home or is removed fo ran yot her
reason, then the fuse should be remov ed and the cut off plug disposed of saf ely to prevent the hazard
of electric shock.
There is a danger of electric shock if t he cut off plug is inserted into any 13 amp sock et outlet.

The wires in the mains lead on this applia nce are coloured in accordance with the follow ing code:
Green and Yellow - Earth Blue – Neutral Brown – Live
As the colours may not correspond with the markings identifying the t erminals in your plug proceed as
follows.
The greenand yellow wire must be connected to the terminalin the plug which is marked with the letter E
or withthe e arth symbol or coloured greenand yellow.
The blue wire must be connected to the te rminal marked N.
The brown wire must be connected to t he terminal marked L.
You must make sure the mains cor d is held securely under the cord clam p.
