IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1.Read all instructions.
2.Do not touch hot surfaces or hot liquids. Use handles or knobs. Care must be taken as burns can occur from touching hot parts or from spilled hot liquid.
3.To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plugs, or hot pot in water or other liquid.
4.Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
5.Hot pot must be operated on a flat surface away from the edge of counter to prevent accidental tipping.
6.Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

14.To avoid possible steam damage, turn spout away from walls or cabinets during use; use protective pad under hot pot to prevent damage to wood finishes.
15.To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit.
16.Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
17.To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet. Never pull on cord as this may damage the cord and eventually cause electric shock.
18.Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the heating cycle.
19.Be sure the lid is securely snapped in place before turning hot pot on and during use. Allow to cool before removing lid.
