Limpieza

Para mantener el buen desempeño de su cafetera, límpiela una vez al mes. La limpieza periódica remueve los depósitos minerales que retardan el tiempo de preparación del café y dan como resultado un sabor amargo del mismo.

Para limpiar el interior de la cafetera:

1.Quite el filtro de agua y la agarradera del filtro de agua (vea “Características opcionales”.)

2.Asegúrese de que el portafiltros esté vacío.

3.Coloque la jarra vacía en la placa que mantiene caliente el café.

4.Vierta una pinta de vinagre blanco común en el recipiente.

5.Enchufe la unidad en el tomacorriente.

6.Oprima el botón de encendido/ apagado (ON/OFF) y la luz indicado- ra se iluminará de rojo. Después de 30 segundos, apague (OFF).

7.Espere 30 minutos para dejar que el vinagre limpie. Después encien- da (ON) de nuevo. Cuando el ciclo de preparación termine, espere a que la unidad se enfríe.

8.Vacíe la jarra y enjuague. Vierta una jarra de agua fría del grifo en el depósito. Coloque la jarra en la placa que mantiene caliente el café.

9.Presione el botón de encendido/ apagado (ON/OFF) una vez. Cuando se termine el ciclo de preparación, vacíe la jarra. Deje que la cafetera se enfríe, luego repita este paso con una jarra más de agua fría del grifo.

10.Lave la jarra y el portafiltros antes de preparar una bebida.

Para limpiar la jarra y el portafiltros:

1.Lave la jarra a mano con agua caliente y jabonosa. La jarra puede lavarse en el estante superior del lavavajillas.

2.Para quitar el portafiltros, abra la tapa del filtro y levante directamente por la agarradera. El portafiltros puede lavarse a mano o en la canasta superior del lavavajillas. Para mantener el desempeño, lave seguido el portafiltros.

Para limpiar el exterior de la cafetera:

Limpie el exterior con un paño suave y agua tibia y jabonosa. No use limpiadores abrasivos ya que rayarán el acabado del producto.
