Unpacking

When unpacking, check to make sure that the item is intact and undamaged. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible.

Initial Set Up

Instructions

Read all warning sections at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.

Note: For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, refer to the Assembly Diagram near the end of this manual.

1.Open the battery cover on the bottom of the unit to verify that battery polarity is correct. Be careful not to pull on the wires connected to the cover, damaging the wires will render the unit dysfunctional. If necessary, remove tabs between the battery and the post. The battery must make contact with the post to operate.

2.Take an Inner Cover (2), place it over the light bulb and rotate it clockwise until the tabs on the Inner Cover are underneath the lip on the Cap.

3.Turn the Solar Light on.

4.Place an Outer Cover (3) over the Inner Cover and rotate it clockwise until the Tabs on the Outer Cover are underneath the lip on the Cap.

5.Examine the area where the Solar Light is to be placed. Make sure there are no utility lines beneath the surface that might be damaged. For best results, the Lights should be placed in an area that receives at least eight hours of direct sunlight per day.

6.Place a Spike (6) onto a Shaft (4) and push the unit firmly into the ground.

7.The Solar Light can either be placed on the Shaft now, or a Connector (5) can be used to connect another Shaft and raise the height of the Light.

8.Repeat these steps to assemble all the lights.
