Assembly

1.Thread the Intake Filter (16) onto the side of the motor, as shown below.

Unpacking

When unpacking, make sure that the item is intact and undamaged. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible.

Instructions for putting into use

Read the entire Important Safety Information section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.

To prevent serious injury

from accidental operation:

Turn the Power Switch of the tool to its “OFF” position and unplug the tool from its electrical outlet before assembling or making any adjustments to the tool.

Intake Filter (16)

2.Connect one or two 1/4” NPT air hoses (rated 165 PSI or higher) to the Quick Couplers (25). See photo next page. The air hose must be long enough to reach the work area with enough extra length to allow free movement while working.

3.Incorporate an in-line oiler, shut-off valve, regulator with pressure gauge, and filter for best service, as shown in the diagram below. An in-line shutoff valve is an important safety device because it controls the air supply even if the air hose is ruptured.
