5. STARTING THE ENGINE

mm Never run the engine in an enclosed or confined area. Exhaust
contains poisonous carbon mDnDXide gas; exposure can cause loss of con-
sciousness and may lead to death.

1. Turn the engine switch to the ON position.

ENGINE SWITCH
l Connect the female end of your power cord to the switch box and the

male end to a properly grounded 120 Volt A/C outlet. (TAS, WAS Type)

OUTLET AND 3-WIRE CORD.
120 VOLT A.C. ONLY.
DO NOT CRANK OVER
1 MINUTE WITHOUT
COOLING 15 MINUTES.
DO NOT USE IN RAIN
l To minimize the possibility of potentially dangerous electrical shocks.
always use a 8-conductor power cord with a power rating of no less
than 15 amps.
Also, be sure that the outlet you are using is properly grounded.
l Do not connect and disconnect the power cord with wet hands.
l Be sure to hold the plug when disconnecting the power cord from the
electrical outlet or switch box.
