If you have difficulty with your thermostat, plea se try the following suggestions.

Most problems can be corrected quickl y and easily.

Display is blank • Checkcircuitbreakerandresetifnecessary.
• Makesurepowerswitchatheating&coolingsystemison.
• Makesurefurnacedoorisclosedsecurely.
No response to
key presses (or
temperature will
not change)
• Checktomakesurethethermostatisnotlocked(seepage17).
• Makesureheatingandcoolingtemperaturesaresettoacceptableranges:
• Heat:40°to90°F(4.5°to32°C)
• Cool:50°to99°F(10°to37°C)
Backlight is dim • IfthermostatisACpowere d,adimdisplayisnormal. Thebacklight
remains on at a low level, and brightens whe n a key is pressed.

• Thisindicatesthatthec oincellbatteryhasd rainedout.Replacethe
coin cell battery immediately.
