areas.It is extremely dangerous to leave the appliance
exposedtorainandstorms.
• Donottouchtheappliancewithbarefeetorwithwetormoist
handsandfeet.
• Donottouchtheinternal coolingelements:thiscouldcause
skinabrasionsorfrost/freezerburns.
• Whenunpluggingtheappliancealwayspulltheplugfromthe
mainssocket,donotpullonthecable.
• Isnotsufficienttoswitch-offoftheproducttoeliminateallthe
electricalconnections.
• Inthecaseofamalfunction,undernocircumstancesshould
youattempttorepairtheapplianceyourself. Repairscarried
outby inexperienced persons may cause injury or further

Disposal

reducethe impact on human health and the environment.

youofyourobligation,thatwhenyoudisposeoftheappliance
itmust be separately collected. Consumers should contact
theirlocalauthorityor retailerforinformationconcerning the
correctdisposaloftheiroldappliance.

Respecting and conserving the

environment

• Installtheapplianceinafreshandwell-ventilatedroom.Ensure
thatitisprotectedfromdirectsunlightanddonotplaceitnear
heatsources.
• Trytoavoidkeepingthedooropenforlongperiodsoropening
thedoortoofrequentlyinordertoconserveenergy.
• Do not fill the appliance with too much food: cold air must
circulatefreelyforfoodtobepreservedproperly.Ifcirculation
isimpeded,thecompressorwillworkcontinuously.
• Donotplacehotfooddirectlyintotherefrigerator.Theinternal
temperaturewillincreaseand forcethecompressor towork
harderandwillconsumemoreenergy.
Troubleshooting
Iftheappliancedoesnotwork,beforecallingforAssistance(see
Assistance),checkforasolutionfromthefollowinglist.
Any indicator lights do not illuminate.
•IfthefunctionICareisnotactive(seesection),theplughasnot
beeninsertedintotheelectrical socket,ornotfar enoughto
makecontact,orthereisnopowerinthehouse.
The motor does not start.
• Theappliance comes with a motor protection control (see
Start-upanduse).
The indicator lights are on but the light is dim.
• Pulloutandreversetheplugbeforeputtingitbackinthesocket.
a) The alarm sounds.
•The refrigeratordoorhasremainedopen formorethantwo
minutes(thebuzzerwillstopsoundingwhenyoushut thedoor)
orthe correct switching-off procedure was not followed (see
Maintenance).

• Theappliancehasbeeninstalledbetweencabinetsthatvibrate
andmakenoise.
• Theinternalrefrigerant makesaslightnoiseeven whenthe
compressorisoff.Thisisnotadefect,itisnormal.
