Benchmark Software
The SysBench test suite is an open source,
•File I/O performance
•Scheduler performance
•Memory allocation and transfer speed
•POSIX threads implementation performance
•Database server performance (OLTP benchmark)
The results documented in this document were obtained using the SysBench test suite to generate results in an environment using the MySQL database server on Proliant systems (x86_64) running RHEL. Table 1 lists the software versions used for the benchmark tests.

This paper describes the results of overall database server performance based on the OLTP benchmark. Because this represents a transactional workload, the InnoDB storage engine was used for the MySQL database server.
