Modem and Network Connections

A wireless network provides all the functions of a typical “wired” network, but also provides for “roaming.” To roam, the notebook must be connected to the network by radio rather than through cables. This connection allows you to move from place to place within the network—from your office to a conference room, for example—and remain on the network the entire time.

Identifying the wireless antenna

ÅWARNING: Exposure to Radio Frequency Radiation The radiated output power of this device is below the FCC radio frequency exposure limits. Nevertheless, the device should be used in such a manner that the potential for human contact during normal operation is minimized. To avoid the possibility of exceeding the FCC radio frequency exposure limits, human proximity to the antennae should not be less than 20 cm (8 inches) during normal operation, including when the notebook display is closed.
