Overview of 3DC DR Solution

Three Data Center Disaster Recovery Solution (3DC DR Solution) is a fully redundant disaster recovery solution that integrates Serviceguard, Metrocluster with Continuous Access for P9000 and XP, Continentalclusters and the HP StorageWorks P9000 or XP Three Data Center (3DC) Replication. This solution provides the highest level of application availability by allowing multi-level failover and recovery mechanism. It includes bi-directional automatic failover across sites within a metropolitan region and fully automated push-button recovery mechanism at the far site. The solution supports a range of application architectures, from single instance applications which run on one server, multi instance applications that run simultaneously on multiple servers and complex applications involving multiple tiers. These all can be deployed seamlessly and recovered without impacting application performance. This solution is an ideal choice for critical disaster tolerant applications in today’s world of demanding compliance requirements.

Figure 63 (page 414) shows the 3DC DR solution configuration.
