lifrename - rename LIF ®les
SYNOPSIS
lifrename old®le new®le
DESCRIPTION
old®le is a full LIF ®le speci®er (see lif(4) for details) for the ®le to be renamed (e.g. liffile:A_FILE). new®le is new name to be given to the ®le (only the ®le name portion). This operation does not include copy or delete. Old ®le names must match the name of the ®le to be renamed, even if that ®le name is not a legal LIF name.
Do not mount the special ®le while using lifrename.
DIAGNOSTICS
lifrename returns zero if the ®le name is changed successfully. Otherwise it prints a diagnostic and returns nonzero.
