HP Double Swath Technology

With HP Double Swath Technology, the HP Designjet Z6100 Printer series has twice the performance of the HP Designjet 5500 Printer series without sacrificing image quality or product robustness.

Two full-function, synchronised printheads cover twice the area of conventional single printhead systems without compromising on print-quality. The printheads are arranged in an overlapping, staggered pair formation, with the best-aligned nozzles used to ensure continuity between the two printheads. This system effectively doubles the number of nozzles firing from 1056 to 2112 per colour for the rapid finishing of professional colour prints with superb line accuracy.

HP Optical Media Advance Sensor

The first-ever HP Optical Media Advance Sensor allows you to print at top speeds and still get great output results. It’s a direct media measurement system that provides accurate, real-time feedback on media advance to the printer. As an improved paper advance control, it helps overcome banding issues while allowing the printer to print at higher speeds and across a range of environmental conditions without compromising image quality. You'll be able to leave the printer unattended—even overnight—for production-volume printing.

HP DreamColor Technologies

Representing a new system of colour sciences, HP DreamColor Technologies allow you to achieve accurate, predictable and consistent colour on various media across a series of digital colour devices. This system of colour displays, printers and technologies will help you create the colour your customers want, every time, by accurately matching your colour from display to printer to press. Seamless integration between applications and devices speeds up your turnaround time and lowers production costs.

HP's embedded spectrophotometer with i1 Color Technology further revolutionises professional colour workflows by automating media profiling. It allows users to automatically generate custom CMYK ICC profiles for their preferred media and provides accurate measurements for printer calibration2 that delivers print-to-print and printer-to- printer colour consistency. Also, with the optional HP Advanced Profiling Solution,

you can edit and modify existing profiles and create RGB profiles.
