Filter Replacement

Filter Change Calendar: The filter calendar is designed to optimize the performance of the air purifer by reminding you when to check

the PERMAlife® and Pre-filters. It is located around the speed control dial.

Pre-filter Calendar: The outer knob of the filter change calendar is the pre-filter counter.

To use, align the pre-filter symbol (3 Months) on the ring with the month that you installed the pre-filter. The inspection symbol (6 Months) on the outer knob points to the month in which you should check the pre-filter for wear. The pre-filter is designed for 3 months of usage. Replacing or checking the pre-filter (Cleaning

)in May means the filter would need to be checked again (Manual background) in August. Figure 4. The Pre-filter is secured to the inside of the front grill with hook tape. To change pre-filter, remove the front grill, Figure 1, and gently remove the pre-filter from the unit. Secure the new filter to the hook tape and replace the front grill.

Permalife® Filter Calendar: The PERMAlife® Filter indicator is located in the center of the calendar ring. To set the PERMAlife Filter counter, rotate the calendar ring to align the filter symbol (Manual background) with the month that you checked/replaced the filter. Since the filter is designed for 6 months of use, the second indicator (Manual background) will serve as a reminder to clean the filter every 6 months.

If the PERMAlife® filter (Manual background) is checked in February, then the filter would need to be

checked again (Manual background) in August. Figure 5. to check the filter, remove the front grill, Figure 1, and gently remove the Permalife filter from the unit.

NOTE: Remember the orientation of the filter when removing. Your new filter will be inserted in the same manner.

Secure the new filter inside the unit and replace the front grill.

Cleaning

NOTE: To avoid the risk of electric shock, the unit should be unplugged before cleaning.

1.Clean the outside of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. The front grill can be cleaned in soapy water after it has been removed from the unit and the pre-filter has been removed. See Figure 1.

NOTE: Ensure the grill is completely dry before reinstalling it on the unit. Failure to do so could cause damage to the filters or motor.

2.At least every 90 days, open the front grill, remove the carbon pre-filter, and replace it. This is necessary to maintain proper odor- removing and overall filtration performance. If necessary, it can be changed more often. Remember to change the Pre-Filter Calendar Dial to reflect the new Pre-Filters installation and to remove any plastic wrapping that may be on the new filter before you place it into the Air Purifier.
