Maintenance schedule

Below you will find some general maintenance instructions. If you need further information please contact your service workshop.

Daily maintenance

1Check the engine oil level and top up if necessary.

2Clean the outside of the machine.

3Check that the components of the throttle control work safely. (Throttle lock and throttle control.)

4Check that the stop switch works correctly.

5Check that the handle and handlebar are undamaged and secured correctly.

6Check that the cutting attachment does not rotate at idle.

7Clean the air filter. Replace if necessary.

8Check that the guard is undamaged and not cracked. Replace the guard if it has been exposed to impact or is cracked.

9Check that the trimmer head is undamaged and not cracked. Replace the trimmer head if necessary.

10Check that the locking nut is tight.

11Check that nuts and screws are tight.

12Check that the screws that hold the bevel gear are tight.

13Check that there are no fuel leaks from the engine, tank or fuel lines.

Weekly maintenance

1Check the starter and starter cord.

2Check that the vibration damping elements are not damaged.

3Clean the outside of the spark plug. Remove it and check the electrode gap. Adjust the gap to 0,6-0,7 mm or replace the spark plug. Check that the spark plug is fitted with a suppressor.

4Clean the cooling fins on the flywheel.

5Clean the carburettor compartment.

6Clean the cooling fins on the cylinder and check that the air intake near the starter is not blocked.

7Check that the bevel gear is filled three-quarters full with lubricant. Fill if necessary using special grease.

Monthly maintenance

1Clean the fuel tank.

2Clean the outside of the carburettor and the space around it.

3Check the fuel filter and the fuel hose. Replace if necessary.

4Check all cables and connections.

5Replace the spark plug. Check that the spark plug is fitted with a suppressor.

6Check and clean the spark arrestor mesh on the muffler.

7Change the engine oil.
