SCSI ID A unique number between 0 and 7 that identifies each device in a SCSI
chain. The SCSI ID is set using a SCSI ID which found on most external
SCSI devices.
SCSI ID Switch The switch on most external SCSI devices which is used to set the SCSI ID.
Terminator An electronic component that absorbs stray signals in a chain of computer
equipment to ensure reliable operation.
TWAIN / plug-in A standardized interfacing system that allows many different software
applications to access many different image input devices.
TWAIN / plug-in Compliant Any software or image input device that conforms to the TWAIN standard.
UTA UTA (UMAX Transparency Adapter), an optional scanner hardware that
allows the scanning of transparent originals.
