Conventional Grilling
CAUTION - ACCESSIBLE PARTS MAY BECOME HOT WHEN THE GRILL IS IN USE.
CHILDREN SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY. GRILLING SHOULD NEVER BE UNDERTAKEN WITH THE GRILL/TOP OVEN DOOR CLOSED.
The grill control is designed to provide variable heat control, either turning the control clockwise for the twin grill elements on together or turning anti- clockwise for the single, left hand grill element only. You can select a power level of MIN through to MAX, in both directions.
The control is Off at O.
Note: The grill will not operate unless the top oven control is in the OFF position.
Food which requires browning only should be placed
under the hot grill, directly on the shelf in the first or GB second runner from the bottom of the oven,
according to the depth of the dish. Open the grill door to the grilling position, ie. open fully.
With the grill door in the grilling position, heating the grill is achieved by turning the control clockwise to the desired 'grill setting' on the control panel, as described under 'setting the grill'.
Never: Line the grill pan with aluminium foil.
Note:
A gentrle flow of air will be blown from underneath the controls by the coolong fan when the grill is in use and will continue to do so for a length of time even after the controls have been turned off.
Preheat the grill at setting MAX for approximately 5 minutes. The grill pan is placed on the shelf and should be correctly positioned under the grill element. Leave the control at MAX for toast, sealing and fast cooking of foods. For thicker foods requiring longer cooking, turn the switch to a lower setting after the initial sealing on both sides at MAX. The thicker the food, the lower the control should be set.
