If backup batteries are not installed, the low battery icon appears on the LCD.

To install the backup batteries:

1Push the battery cover locking tab in the direction of the arrow, then remove the cover.

2Insert two AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Make sure that the + and – symbols on the batteries align with the + and – symbols in the battery compartment.

3Replace the cover.

Cautions

•There is danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly installed. Replace the batteries only with the same or equivalent type.

•Make sure that the + and – symbols on the batteries and inside the battery compartment align correctly. If the batteries are installed incorrectly, you may damage your clock radio.

•If you do not plan to use your clock radio for a extended period of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.

•Do not try to recharge batteries that are not intended to be recharged. The batteries may rupture or leak.

•Do not expose batteries to excessive heat such as direct sunlight or fire.
