Using the remote control

Point the remote control directly at your shelf system, within a 60° angle horizontally (30° to either side), and within 30° vertically of the remote control sensor on the front of your shelf system and within approximately 23 feet (7 m) of your shelf system.

Make sure that there are no obstacles between the remote control sensor on your shelf system and the remote control.

Direct sunlight, an incandescent or fluorescent lamp, or any strong light shining on the remote sensor may prevent the sensor from receiving signals from the remote control.

Notes

Do not mix batteries of different types.

Do not mix old and new batteries.

Remove batteries when the charge is depleted.

Battery chemicals can cause a rash. If the batteries leak, clean the battery compartment with a cloth. If chemicals touch your skin, wash immediately.

If the remote control is not going to be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries.

Making connections

The following illustration shows the basic connections for your shelf system. See “Connecting to a TV” on page 8 and “Connecting to a digital amplifier” on page 8 for a more complete explanation of specific connections. Make sure that all connections are solid and secure.
