Although the your new rock speakers are designed to withstand outdoor conditions, there are things you can do to prolong the life of your speakers:
•Keep dirt and leaves from covering the speaker grille. If dirt accumulates on the grille, it can be rinsed away with water.
•Avoid placing the speakers so that they face directly at any sprinklers.
•Chemicals commonly used in the back yard may damage the rubber parts of the speakers. Avoid spraying these chemicals onto the speakers.

Setting up your speakers
Planning speaker locations
Your rock speakers feature a wide angle of coverage. A few speakers will cover a large area with sound.
When designing your outdoor system:
•It is better to have more speakers playing at lower volumes, than a few speakers playing at high volumes.
•Place the speakers as close to the listening area as possible.
•Make sure that you can easily run wire to each of the speaker locations.
Gathering your tools
To install your new speakers, you will need:
•A small spade or shovel
•Measuring tape
•Wire cutters
•Wire strippers
•Heat shrink tubing (recommended)
•A lighter or matches for heat shrink tubing
•A soldering gun
Connecting the speakers
To connect your speakers:
1Measure out lengths of speaker wire required to connect each speaker. Estimate the length of additional speaker wire you will need, if necessary.
