SAFETY SUMMARY

The following recommendations are made for the safe and proper installation and use of the Rectangular Pan Holder and Pan:

GENERAL WARNING

DONOTinstallorusethisequipmentwithoutfirstread- ing and understanding this instruction sheet. If you are unable to understand the Warnings, Cautions and Instructions, contact a healthcare professional, dealer or technical personnel before attempting to install this equipment - otherwise, injury or damage may occur.

Before using the commode: Always test to see that all parts of the commode aresecure. Make certain ALL screws, nuts and/or bolts are tight at all times.

Users with limited physical capabilities should be supervisedorassistedwhenutilizingthecommode.

The applicable commodes listed have a weight limitation of 300 lbs. (135 kg.). The Extra Wide Com- mode has a weight limitation of 450 lbs. (202.5 kg.).

INSTALLATION WARNING

AfterANYadjustments,repairorserviceandBEFORE use, make sure that all attaching hardware is tightened securely.

INSTALLING RECTANGULAR PAN HOLDER AND PAN ONTO EXISTING STANDARD COMMODE PAIL HANGER (FIGURE 1)

1.Remove original commode lid from commode by grasping and pulling straight up.

2.Remove existing commode seat by grasping and pulling straight up.

3.Install the rectangular pan holder onto existing commode pail hanger framework by placing bracket of one side over the existing pail hanger.

4.Slide the remaining bracket up and over the remaining portion of the existing pail hanger. Open end of pan holder should face to the rear of the commode.

5.Ensure that it is properly situated onto existing pail hanger.6. Install NEW rectangular pan onto the NEW pan holder from the rear of the commode by sliding the back end of the lipped top of the rectangular pan onto the NEW pan holder rails and push it forward.

7. To remove pan and pan holder, reverse STEPS 3-6.
