INSTALLATION WARNING

After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure that all attaching

hardware is tightened securely.

EXTENSION BRACKETS

INSTALLING THE BACK EXTENSION (FIGURE 2)

1.Alignthebackextensioninserttubeswiththebackexten- sion brackets on the wheelchair as shown in FIGURE 2.

NOTE:Fasteningstripsshouldfacetherearofthewheelchair.

2.Seat the insert tubes firmly into position in the back extension brackets.

INSTALLING THE BACK EXTENSION BRACKETS (FIGURE 1)

NOTE:Alignmentnotchesshouldsitfirmlyonthealignment screws. Insert tubes should NOT rotate in back extension brackets.

NOTE:Makesurethatthewheelchairisunfoldedonalevel surface, with the wheel locks engaged.

1.Remove the upper two (2) mounting screws and washers securing the back upholstery. Refer to DETAIL “A” in FIGURE 1.

2.Align the upper and lower mounting holes in the back extension brackets with the upper two (2) mounting holes in the back upholstery and back canes. Refer to DETAIL “B” in FIGURE 1.

NOTE: The back extension brackets accommodate several models of chairs, replace only the mounting screws that are

removed. An extra set of screws is included for instances of loss or damage.

3.Installthetwo(2)existingmountingscrewsandwashers as shown in DETAIL “B”. Tighten securely.

4.Repeat for opposite side.
